A scheduled visit to your home, to confirm a review of your home life, the home itself & to learn your family's daily life routines. We encourage you to be open and honest throughout this process. The evaluation of your In-Home Study is to help determine what can be improved, (if need be) which ultimately will better serve your child (ren) needs/special needs. If reunification is the issue, recommendations are made only after completing the study.
This is a class if your family is interested in having a home study completed, or your child (ren) needs any one or more of our youth services. Classes are two hours long and run for 6 consecutive weeks in a row. This opportunity goes hand in hand with the In-Home Study conducted.
Parents, legal guardians, and other pre-approved responsible adults are welcome to attend. The children who also live in the same home play a role in a specific portion of this opportunity. Here you learn to let go of the past, engage in positive communication, no longer finger point as to who was/is to blame, and ultimately learn to cope and accept the past and move forward as individuals and as a family.
INCARCERATED MENTORING PROGRAM - Female Inmates - Phase I. Inmates learn to reduce their "write ups" . They are introduced to segments of learning that addresses issues they struggled with before becoming incarcerated and during their incarcerations.
Phase II. During the end of their incarceration inmates learn to write a resume that does include a criminal history. They discover how to make solid decisions that guide them long after being released and how to avoid becoming re-incarcerated.
It's called our Red, White, and Blue opportunity that welcomes Veterans from all wars and times of conflict. You are not obligated to orally participate until you are ready to do so. Learn from that brotherhood you once trusted to now gather as a small group that can help one another with issues you currently face or, have troubled you for years. Let's talk about how your career choice affects your personal and/or professional relationships.
It's best to address your struggling child (ren) issues now, before they continue to build on the unhealthy habits and skills sets they have already developed.
Based on real-life situations that have been created to help your child's self-esteem, self-control, respect for the rights of others, and a sense of responsibility for one's own actions. Practice social skills activities. K-4
For teaching and reinforcing basic reading, language arts, and math skills with children who struggle in school. K-5.
Troubled Tweens/Teens. Is your child displaying behaviors of being out of control at home and/or at school? Is there evidence of misuse of over-the-counter or using illegal drugs? What about alcohol use, negative time on social media, self-harm, becoming isolated, grades declining, social withdrawal, and/or is there a mental health diagnosis? Has your child displayed unusual behaviors that are worrisome to you? Has your child spoken about their gender identity or has come out of the closet?
These courses are offered as a private 1 to 1 opportunity or inviting a small group of your support system welcomed. If need be, a course for just the individual struggling/suffering and a separate course for your support system can be arranged.
6 week course, each class is 2 hours. Learn to accept, cope and become your own best advocate. Complete your own Crisis Hotline document to have readily available if and when you may need one. Educate yourself to the diagnosis you have. Learn to better communicate with your medical team and improve future appointments. And so much more.
