A scheduled and mutually agreed upon visit to your home, (at least one time), to confirm a review of your home life, the home itself, to learn your family's daily life routines, and to determine if your home is safe and clean. Parents/Legal Guardians will be interviewed individually and as a couple. Be open and honest, throughout this process. The evaluation of your In-Home Study, is to help determine if a healthy reunification can occur within your family.
This is a required class if your family is interested in having a home-study completed, or your child (ren) needs any one or more of our youth services. Classes are two hours long and run for 8 consecutive weeks in a row.
Parents, legal guardians, and other responsible adults are welcomed to attend. The children who also live in the same home make ideal class participants too. Often times, extended relatives will be considered to attend. Here you learn to let go of the past, engage in positive communication, no longer finger point as to who was/is to blame, and ultimately learn to cope and accept the past and move forward as individuals and as a family.
INCARCÉRATED MENTORING PROGRAM - Female Inmates Only - Phase I. Inmates learn to reduce their "write ups"; are introduced to our "Wheel of Emotions"; the difference between making a decision to making a good decision; "Who is "Mr. Wonderful"?..and more.
Phase II. During the end of one's incarceration learn to write a resume that does include your criminal history. Discover how to make solid decisions that will guide you long after being released. Learn how to avoid being re-incarcerated.

It's best to address your struggling child (ren) issues now, before they continue to to build on the unhealthy habits and skills sets they have already developed.
Based on real-life situations that have been created to help your child's self esteem, self-control, respect for the rights of others, and a sense of responsibility for one's own actions. Practice social skills activities. K-4
For teaching and reinforcing basic reading, language arts, and math skills with children who struggle in school. K-5.
Troubled Tweens/Teens. Is your child (ren) displaying behaviors of being out of control at home and/or at school? Is there evidence of misuse of over the counter drugs or using illegal drugs? What about alcohol use, self harm, becoming isolated, grades declining, or social withdrawal, and/or a mental health diagnosis present?
These courses are offered as a private 1 to 1 opportunity or a small group setting with your support system welcomed.

Immediately after an attempt and you have just returned home from the hospital, you may be trying to make sense of what led you to consider suicide. The "why" of suicide is complex and answers may not come easy. Your life matters! Many survivors begin to see those challenges in a new light, and realize that there are people available to support them. You don't need to have all the answers to begin to heal.
